Invacare Slings
The Invacare range of slings provides safe and comfortable transfer solutions for those with mobility impairments. Invacare collaborated with physiotherapists in the development of the high-quality sling range for optimal functionality. The Invacare slings are easily adjusted to suit individual requirements. The range of slings are designed for ease of use; featuring a directional label on how to position the sling according to the spine of the patient.
The Invacare range of slings includes the following:
Universal Standard Sling - This sling is ideal for everyday patient routines and has been designed to provide full body support.
Comfort High Sling - This sling is suited to those who have chronic pain, providing full body and head support.
Stand Assist Sling and Transfer Stand Assist Sling - Both models provide a safe transfer solution for clients that have some weight bearing ability but struggle to stand independently. The Transfer Stand Assist Sling offers additional leg support.
High Dress Toileting Sling and Low Dress Toileting Sling - The toilet transfer sling is available with or without head support. Both models feature a waist belt for increased support and safe positioning.
Sling Materials
The Invacare range of slings are made with quality materials to ensure durability and comfort. The materials used are as follows:
Polyester - This is a strong and durable material with soft touch for comfort. This material allows the sling to slide smoothly into place ensuring ease of application for the carer. This lightweight fabric is made of long, stable polymers, resulting in a resilient material with excellent memory characteristics to retain its shape. The material is quick drying and easy to wash.
Polyester Net - This is a mesh fabric and is ideally suited for bathing or showering environments due to its moisture wicking and drying properties. This lightweight fabric is made of long, stable polymers resulting in a resilient material with excellent memory characteristics to retain its shape.
Spacer – The breathable Spacer fabric is designed with a two-way stretch allowing the material to adapt to the contours of the user, resulting in high levels of comfort and support. It is manufactured with two outer fabric layers, connected by a layer of pile threads, creating a porous structure that offers high absorption capacities.
Invacare Evo Hoist and ISA Stand Assist
The Birdie Evo Hoist and Birdie Evo Compact Hoist provides comfortable lifts and transfers to or from a bed, chair, or the floor. The customer led design introduces new technologies and features, building on the renowned Birdie range, to further enhance the client and carer experience. The ergonomic lift capability of the Invacare Birdie Hoist allows 360° rotation, ensuring ease of use for the carer when positioning and reduces anxiety for the client. The Hoist can be folded and unfolded without the need for tools. The efficient design uses minimal space when storing and can be transported with ease.
The ISA Compact Stand Assist is ideal for those who have some weight bearing ability, but require additional support to raise to a standing position. The innovative Invacare technology offers a personal experience without compromising on the ergonomic function of the lift. This is achieved by an adjustable ISA Stand Assist that can adapt to the needs of a wide range of body types.
